Specimen Collection Requirements:
Phlebotomist Instructions: Specimen to be collected within 2 hours of delivery or ASAP post trauma.
Sample Type:

1x Mauve (EDTA) tube 4.0mL

Sample Type Notes: Hutt Hospital Lab prefers 1x Pink (Cross Match EDTA) tube.
Can also be tested on amniotic fluid
Minimum Sample Volume: 2.0mL
Alternative Blood Tubes: Pink (Cross Match EDTA) tube 6.0mL
Additional Information: Note this assays is performed in batches throughout the day Mon-Fri. Should you 
require this assay urgently or out of hours, please contact the laboratory 
directly. This assay will only be processed out of hours, upon approval.
