Cross matched blood tests take time to process

When advising patients on preparing for surgery, please recommend they come to Aotea Pathology in good time for their pre-surgery blood tests.

They need to come in at least 48 hours before surgery.

This will ensure all pre-op blood tests can be carried out, results are reviewed and cross matched blood is available at the correct hospital.

Please give us the time to give your patients a good service.
