Getting the correct test results back to your doctor or midwife at the right address and at the right time is our top priority.
Feedback from our medical practitioners tells us that, overall, we do this well. We are constantly monitoring and looking to improve our systems to ensure it continues.
Earlier this year we implemented an electronic audit programme as part of our test registration process. It carries out a secondary check on essential information such as patient identity, referrer details and the tests required. Incorporating this second check means that minor errors, which can have serious consequences for patient care, are detected and corrected.
We developed this audit system because it fits well with our philosophy to always provide our customers with high quality services.
