Did you know that the most common way to catch flu is by transferring it from your hands to your face?
The reason why masks are effective in blocking transmission is that they stop you sticking your fingers in your mouth.
So, wash your hands regularly, and try to avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. And have you cleaned under your nails recently?
Don’t cover your mouth with your bare hand when you sneeze. Use a clean tissue and then throw it away and wash your hands afterwards.
Eat your fruit and veg
Fresh fruit and vegetables are packed with health-boosting vitamins and minerals, great for helping beat the worst effects of winter sniffles.
