We are often on the look-out for Phlebotomists...

Did you ever wonder who was collecting your blood when you visited our collection rooms? It was a Phlebotomist; someone who is responsible for safely collecting blood samples from patients and receiving other specimens that are dropped off at our collection rooms, before they are sent onto our laboratory for testing.

Our Phlebotomists strive to provide excellent customer service and high quality care to our patients. This is a busy role, with our team sometimes seeing in excess of 2000 patients over a day. Working from our 15 collection rooms across the greater Wellington region, Phlebotomists also do home visits, and provide collection services at private hospitals, rest homes and some doctors’ surgeries.

From time to time, opportunities arise for Phlebotomists to join our team on a full-time, part-time or casual basis. If you think you could add value to our team, keep reading to learn more about what we look for in our Phlebotomists:
